The veteran K-Pop icon Psy has taken the internet by storm with his unexpected change in appearance.
On July 12, the singer posted a short video on his social media, documenting himself trying Chinese bibimbap and bibim noodles at a Seoul restaurant. In the clip, Psy wore a simple black T-shirt while sweating it out to the spicy dishes.
Fans couldn’t help but notice how much different he looked compared to his previous appearance. His arms appeared to have slimmed down drastically, and his face looked much smaller as well, revealing a V-line jawline.
This sudden change in his weight has brought back an old meme, specifically created for him, where fans tease Psy for his “self-management failure” if he loses weight. The joke is that while for most K-Pop artists, the phrase implies that they have gained weight, for Psy, the standards are the opposite.
